What is the Kensington Organic Turf Project?

The project will provide a tangible, working example of turf care based on organic practices on sites located at the Kensington Public Library and Town Hall. Project leaders will physically demonstrate that turf in poor condition can be improved and maintained without the use of toxic pesticides or synthetic fertilizers.

Visitors to the sites will have an ongoing opportunity to directly observe and learn about organic lawn care including: proper soil aeration, application of natural fertilizers and compost, proper mowing techniques and natural controls for pests and weeds.

Opportunities to learn more about organic turf care practices, worksshops and project updates are available through our website: TheOrganicTurfProject.com
